It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

This is the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed nearly four years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a squad that has achieved everything.

It needed up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It is hard for their hitters to possess a record if not afforded the possibility.

In the end, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was leader Alyssa Healy getting a chance to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Initially recognized as the teenage relative of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after Australia didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups conducted earlier and has seen it all through 15 trophy-laden years since.

A T20 World Cup win arrived three months after her first appearance and seven international trophies have resulted from 10 attempts across formats.

The tough gloveman was also there in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India temporarily stopped the winning streak.

That loss "pushed us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy commented earlier.

At the following one-day championship in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not fail again.

The question of whether this recent magnificent innings surpassed that earlier display is debatable.

Certain people claim the argument supporting championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the test that comes when confronting a historic chase and an enthusiastic Indian fanbase of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was far harder to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 occurred when she led the batting statistics, but this performance was preceded by six games in India since the start of last month in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in training, it has been a frustrating experience because it seemed I lacked timing at all," commented Healy.

"Yet the moment you enter the playing area, your competitive nature activate and you completely engage with the competition."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her great strength - and a priceless quality in replacing iconic ex-skipper Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's emerging talent Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, out to the 22-year-old seamer in all three matches, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and after that Healy was on her way.

"The possibility to take the field and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 deliveries while she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three sixes.

Once she was out Australia required another 66 at one run per ball - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the confidence to do that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, should it happen, we believe we can achieve it."

These statements will be the ultimate thing competing nations at this tournament should hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will win from any position has only strengthened - this success following win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was at that stage they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at a significant event.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she wished she had played with the discomfort.

Yet even as she subsequently acknowledged those fitness problems have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this tournament is anticipated as her concluding event as leader in one-day cricket and she is hasn't yet secured a world championship as leader.

Success in India would take her to the summit of her last major obstacle.
