Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople confirmed on late Wednesday. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the commissioner stated.

Remembering the Victims

Those who lost their lives were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”
